Shoebox drop-off point
Each December, we are a drop-off point for shoeboxes being collected under Operation Christmas Child conducted by Samaritan’s Purse.
The shoebox is a gift, which we understand is used by local ministers and pastors overseas to encourage enrolments in discipleship courses. The shoebox is a tool of evangelism and not the relief of poverty or the promotion of health or secular education. Samaritan’s Purse runs other, larger ministries directed to those other purposes.
Christ’s own example is as a gift of the expression of God’s identity, from God, and informs our communication of God’s identity to other people around the world.
